Abstract:
This presentation talks us about the different stimuli during pregnancy, specially the music effect. Nowadays people talks about stimulate the baby during pregnancy. There are different kind of stimulis, to develop different senses and feeling in the baby.
Some stimulis are dropping water on the mother’s belly, touching the belly, talking to the baby, calling the baby by its name, putting a flashlight on the mother’s abdomen, and putting music to the baby. It was demonstrated the baby`s ear development end at the fifth month. Since there babies can recognize outside sounds, as music.
Music has different effects on the mother and the baby during the gestation.
Gordon Shaw, neurobiologist from California Irvine`s University, said: "By listening to classical music, children are stimulated, exercise cortical neurons and strengthen the circuits used for mathematics. The music stimulates the inherent brain patterns and enhances complex reasoning tasks ".
Also a group of British phscicologists made a research about auditory memory’s development in babies during their gestation. They founded and showed babies can remember melodies they have heard in their mother’s womb for at least one year after their birth.
According to reports from Dr. Alexandra Lamont, from the University of Leicester . Babies are likely to develop a sense of "familiarity” with music they heard during pregnancy.
Listening is vital to ensure the early learning process.
The process of language development depends on how it has been aurally stimulated children of early age. Before birth, babies seem to prefer soft, melodic and complex music as Mozart and Vivaldi, rejecting the loud music and heavy rock.
